Eclipse Atomizer By SOV $74.95

Has anyone heard anything about the Eclipse Atomizer By SOV (Science Of Vaping). It’s available for pre-sale up on the Bay. And it looks pretty interesting. Although the price kinda hurts. =) From what I’ve read… the Eclipse Atomizer uses Aspire Atlantis coils. And, it’s built from 304 stainless steel & flame polished Pyrex glass. So what’s so special about it? It has two main differences to the Atlantis. It features an adjustable dual 180 degree slit air flow system. Which basically doubles the airflow of the stock Atlantis. And 2nd… it has a 3.5mL capacity compared to the compared to the 2mL capacity of the Atlantis. Pretty nice upgrades to an already awesome clearomizer.

  1. So I get what for $40 more than the Atlantis? Double air and its a bit more shiny? Oh and a whopping 1.5 ml more? PASS!

  2. For $75 and there’s not even a rebuildable option? Smh

  3. 75 bucks? Well, I guess that the price alone will make it appealing to some.

The Atlantis is so airy to me. I’m sure there will always be some wanting more, to the point of forced air, even. I have been reducing the tank sizes of some of my tanks like the Billow, and finding that it helps slow or stop leaking with some of these super juicy tanks. I’m usually done vaping before I can get the huge SubTank slowed down enough to not be drinking the juice.

I ordered a Melo because I think it’s prettier and half the price that I paid for the Atlantis. I’ve purchased the drip tip that comes on the Melo for 5 to 7 bucks in the past, and it’s one of my favorites. It’s also shorter than the Atlantis. Add in the OCC coils and it’s a lock.

    • atlantis is pretty airy. But… when coming from something like a Doge… it really does feel restricted. Not buy much though.

  4. Why is it so tall…or is it just me..? Really, though designer clearo’s??? Lol…but hey there’s market for everything and I know these are probably going to sell. Anyone else notice that the release date on the ebay page says 1/31/15…

  5. Off subject but can you guys…give me a hand PLEASE..I have a which doing a TON of research now Are knock offs with very slick marketing campaign’s
A Mutitor x3 though is was the Mutation v3 but it is nice and clean user friendly and a Stingray Black and Brass (well the larger is all brass now) paint chipped all off in two week but for a 3 piece set for 30bucks and took 3 weeks to get here..
My builds are good (Kanthal 24-26) varies ALOT of Rip Trippers coils and Japanese Angel Hair and 100VG and it seem I am always juicing and or wiping excess or fixing it and re-wrapping it every other day never consistent hits..I love it (Building And Research) looking at all you veterans but I have yet to get any help or feed back on what to do I am literally going through 50-70mils a week and I vape like I used to smoke a pack a day maybe a bit more on top of the waste of the inconsistencies of my rookie mistakes

    • I think you’ll find that a majority of the VAPE DEALS community doesn’t have problems with “clones”. With that said… some clones are better than others. As far as advice… what kind of advice are you looking for?

I see your using a Mutitor x3 and stingray? and asking why your burning through juice and not getting consistent vapes?

If that’s the case… first off… RDAs in general will burn through juice like nothing. Especially if your building sub-ohm coils. Just kiss your juice goodbye.

And generally… RDAs won’t be very leak proof. Some are better than others. And it also depends on how much your dripping and how much wick you have as well as countless other factors.

My suggestion (if you want a satisfying/consistent) vape is to go with a different setup altogether. Something like a iStick 30w or 50w and an Atlantis or Sub Tank will hit pretty hard and won’t leak. Keep in mind that you are still sub ohming so you’ll still burn through juice. Just not as fast as with your current setup.

If you want a more consistent vape from your current setup… I suggest building your coils a little higher. Around .8 – 1 ohms. And, keep it simple. Microcoil or twisted wire microcoil should do the trick. Then… fill that bad boy up with wick. And most importantly… drip just enough to keep your coil juiced up but not enough that your flooding your dripper.

Other than that… I wouldn’t be able to give you additional advice without actually seeing your builds, how you drip… etc.
