LG HE4 18650 Batteries $15.49

I rock a few LG HE2 batteries in my IPV2/IPV3 and they are rock solid. Well… I came across the LG HE4 18650s while scoping out eBay. They look pretty similar except for 3 main differences. 1: the rated capacity is increased to 2500mAh. 2: the max discharge current in increased to 35A. 3: they changed the color of the battery wrap to yellow. Based on these 3 differences… the LG HE4 would be the way to go if you’re in the market for a pair of solid 18650 batteries.

What is the Continuous Discharge rate, which is more important than the Max Discharge rate (Pulse)

    • It’s 20A, they are solid batteries and have become my go to for regulated devices

Thanks, another good one to look out for when they reach this side of the pond then

  2. This is for 2.

  3. I am pretty sure that those are the exact same batteries that efest re wraps for their purple 35 amps and Im dead sure that the efest 2100 mahs are vtc4s under the purple wrap. They are all good batteries. I personally think the lower capacity ones like the vtc4 cells are better for sub ohm vaping on mechs and the higher capacity vtc5 , efest 35 , lg4 are better for high wattage regulated vaping.

    • Efest 2100’s are not sony’s. A few people have unwrapped them to find LG HE2 batteries, most likely B-Stock. VTC’s are also every bit as good as VTC4’s at subohming, but with better capacity.

      • They are absolutely VTC4s , Ive unwrapped them myself and just because Im not going to argue about it. Maestro Vapes unwraps 3 of them right on video , all 3 from different vendors and all 3 sonys so theres that.

      • Recently, people have been finding he2 s under the purple 2100 mah. They USED to always be VTCs, but now, you cant be sure.
The 2500 are also he2 lol

      • I haven’t seen that at all but I have seen many vtc’s so until I see one unwrapped on video Im going to assume that is all bull talk.

at least they used to be vtc’s but they might have changed them sense sony stopped producing vtc’s due to finding out what we use them for

sony disaproves them for use for vaping and individual use

  4. The 35amp is a pulse rating, but they don’t share the continuous rating nor the math theiy are using to get that number. From the tests i’ve seen LG he’s and Samsung 25r’s are pretty close in specs, with around a 20amp continuous amp discharge. I’ve noticed slightly less battery sag with the 25r’s over the LG’s and they are 25r’s are also a few $$ cheaper but, nonetheless, LG has always made great cells, these wouldn’t do you wrong. Other than the wrap, i doubt much else has changed.

Really wish we could get them to put the continuous rating on them instead of like eFest where they put the Pulse – it confuses the hell out of newbies

  5. The capacity hasn’t changed at all compared to the he2. In fact all specs are exactly the same. The only difference between the he4 and he2 is chemistry. I dont know the specifics but the he4 is supposed to have a slight decrease in internal resistance compared to the he2 which is impressive since I get better performance from the he2 then I do my 25r’s. LG supposedly tweaked the chemistry a bit to improve charge cycles and to decrease the temperature of the battery under high amperage loads. In short its a 2500mah 20amp 18650 exactly like the lg he2. I never have and never will buy from a vendor who sells batteries listed by their theoretical pulse discharge rating which should never be considered as something that can be utilized by anyone buying batteries.
