is it me, or is it just a re-branded Predator ?
Yeah, this mod is basically what the Predator should have been. They’ve made a lot of improvements: non-press-fit 510, color screen, 3rd button, more compact (shorter), and a centered 510. I’ve been hearing good things about it so far. Calling it the “Predator 2” wouldn’t have been a wise branding choice, considering the notorious 510 issues with that one.
I agree jeremy, as always we are beta testing, my good friend and vape shop owner here in PA ( one of the first in the country ) was treated with much disdain attempting to return the near 99% of the predators that were returned within days , weeks of selling them…..he no longer sells the brand as one would expect, as he has to absorb the cost ( not to mention the 40% pa floor tax) DrM….ps: keep up the good work on the site, you have saved me allot of money ( and cost me allot!:) haha), thanks again, merry Christmas
That sucks. I probably wouldn’t gamble on Wismec either if I were in his shoes. That whole situation is unfortunate since the Predator was getting rave reviews until all that 510 business started. Hopefully, there’s no surprises with this one. You make a great point: we (the consumers) are beta testers. That’s the disadvantage of any fast-growing industry. Manufacturers rush products to the market, without thorough testing, to avoid falling behind. If there’s any issues, they address it in the next version (hopefully). That really puts shop owners in a tough position. Proven/reliable products that have been on the market for a while aren’t going to sell. New and exciting products, on the other hand, will probably sell fast…but they might end up being junk.
