101vape just dropped another beauty, the Slug Style Mechanical Mod by Shenxi. At $48.99, the price is a little high for #teamcheapmod. But, sometimes you gotta splurge a little right? =) The Slug is a fully mechanical mod that features a wood body with copper floating pin and battery tube. At least that’s what the vendor states. It looks kind of like brass to me. But hey, what do I know. Either way… if this bad boy performs as SEKSI as it looks… I just might have to bite the bullet and cop one. What can I say… I don’t have a wood mod in my collection yet.
What size battery does it take? Looks like 18650 but doesn’t specify

Steel Punk Slug Mod Clone > Was watching these on eBay for a bit more. Saw Todd’s review of the original and it was impressive. He said that one went for 250 Euros. Sounds like the originals have always been very difficult to get and perhaps never again. Took me about 2 seconds after I saw it at 101vape to order it. I was scouting around for a coupon and saw it mentioned here. Shipping was about 2.99 for mine.
I think I will be happy with the deal, especially if the wood is as nice as the original’s. It was supposed to be some kind of ironwood fighting stick wood. The firing button is the thing that looks like a pistol hammer and the side knob locks it. There is an internal copper battery carrier. It comes with a fitted black web belt carrying case. There is supposed to be a video by Steel Punk of a complete breakdown out there somewhere. Always be extra careful with brass screws and used the correct tools.
